Is there a cleaner that cuts down scrubbing significantly? You can get a brush with a handle and it won't have the potential to mechanically break. Proper cleaning agents, and a cleaning routine will keep the shower clean. I'm officially on the hunt for a good toilet bowl brush.

I have hard water and most toilet brushes don't fit deep into the hole, leaving a layer of gunk. Also brushes I use just get really nasty after using them just one time. For your bathroom I'd recommend a Ryobi Power Scrubber because it has an IPX7 water resistance rating. It comes with extensions, brushes and accessories that make the heated chore of scrubbing easy. Much more ergonomic than the traditional drill brushes and unwieldy power drill.
